Statistically, North Carolina is one of three states most likely to weather a hurricane. And this hurricane season may bring an above-average number of major storms. But it only takes one hurricane to disrupt the welfare of the state and its citizens. The Division of Emergency Management works year-round with local, state and federal agencies to help citizens prepare for the possibility of a major weather event. Tune in to this edition of OPEN/net to learn what you can do to prepare for a hurricane emergency.
